MILWAUKEE — Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is another day, one dedicated to the businesses that boost the economy and invigorate neighborhoods across the country.
“Small businesses are the backbone of many communities,” says Jason Rae, executive director of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “By supporting these business people, we can help create jobs and boost our local communities.”
Last year, more than one hundred million people shopped Small Business Saturday around the country. This day, located between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is dedicated to shopping at small businesses in local communities.
The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce is excited to join a growing coalition of members, such as the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, to promote Small Business Saturday.
“We hope that individuals will take part in this important day and shop at some of the small businesses that are a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce,” says Rae.
