Trek Bicycle becomes newest Gold Founding Member of LGBT Chamber

MILWAUKEE — This week, the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce welcomed Trek Bicycle Corporation, headquartered in Waterloo, Wisconsin, as the organization’s newest gold founding member. Trek Bicycle had previously been a regular corporate member of the LGBT Chamber for the past year.

“We are honored that Trek Bicycle decided to increase their membership with the LGBT Chamber and become our newest gold founding member,” said Jason Rae, executive director of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “Over the past year, it has been great to partner with Trek as they worked to recruit and retain a diverse talent pool. We look forward to an even stronger partnership with Trek moving forward over the next year.”

Trek Bicycle is a global leader in the design and manufacture of bicycles and related products. Trek believes the bicycle can be a simple solution to many of the world's most complex problems, and is committed to breaking down the barriers that prevent people from using bicycles more often for transportation, recreation, and inspiration.

“Trek Bicycle is proud to increase its partnership with the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce,” said Trek Brand and Communications Manager Eric Bjorling. “In addition to being the bike of choice, we want to be the employer of choice for members of the LGBT community. We look forward to working closely with the LGBT Chamber to reach new potential hires who can help our business grow and be even more diverse.”

As a gold founding member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber, Trek Bicycle will receive a seat on the Chamber’s Leadership Advisory Council, as well as other additional benefits over the regular corporate level.

“We are thankful for Trek’s continued commitment to developing a pro-fairness business community in Wisconsin,” added Rae.
