MILWAUKEE — This week, the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce was proud to welcome Northwestern Mutual, headquartered in Milwaukee, as the organization’s newest gold founding member. Northwestern Mutual had been a regular corporate member of the LGBT Chamber for the past year.
“We are honored that a great hometown company like Northwestern Mutual has increased their membership with the LGBT Chamber to become our newest gold founding member,” said Jason Rae, executive director of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “From our work together to attract and retain diverse employees, to promoting opportunities for LGBT individuals to do business with financial representatives who share their values, to ensuring that LGBT Business Enterprises have opportunities at securing contracts, Northwestern Mutual has been a wonderful partner in our work to build a more diverse business community in Wisconsin. We are looking forward to an even stronger partnership with Northwestern Mutual moving forward over the next year.”
Northwestern Mutual has been helping families and businesses achieve financial security for nearly 160 years. With $238.5 billion in assets, $27.9 billion in revenues and more than $1.6 trillion worth of life insurance protection in force, Northwestern Mutual delivers financial security to more than 4.3 million people with insurance and investment solutions, including life, disability income and long-term care insurance; annuities; trust services; mutual funds; and investment advisory products and services.
“Northwestern Mutual is proud to increase its partnership with the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce,” said Raymone Jackson, director of diversity and inclusion for Northwestern Mutual. “We are always striving as a company to be more inclusive – for both our employees and our customers. We look forward to working closely with the LGBT Chamber to reach new potential hires, retain our current great employees, and grow our diverse supply chain to include opportunities for the LGBT community.”
As a gold founding member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber, Northwestern Mutual will receive a seat on the Chamber’s Leadership Advisory Council, as well as other additional benefits over the regular corporate level.
“We are grateful for Northwestern Mutual’s continued commitment to developing a pro-fairness business community in Wisconsin,” added Rae.
