MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome CUNA Mutual Group as the organization’s newest gold member. CUNA Mutual Group has previously been a regular corporate member of the LGBT Chamber since early 2018.
“We are honored that CUNA Mutual Group has decided to increase its partnership with the LGBT Chamber and become our newest gold member,” said Jason Rae, President & CEO of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled about the impact that this increased investment will have in building and supporting the LGBT and allied business community around Wisconsin.”
“We are excited to increase our involvement with the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce,” said Angela Russell, Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at CUNA Mutual Group. “Embracing differences and promoting equity is one of our founding principles. Like the credit unions and communities we serve, we know we’re stronger when we leverage the diverse backgrounds, skills, knowledge and perspectives of our customers, vendors and employees. We believe our partnership with the LGBT Chamber will allow us to have an even bigger impact.”
As a gold member, CUNA Mutual Group will receive a seat on the Chamber’s Leadership Council, as well as other benefits above the regular corporate level. In addition, CUNA Mutual Group has been an active participant in the LGBT Workplace Alliance which connects corporate employee resource groups and in the Chamber’s Financial Services Council.
“We are thankful for CUNA Mutual Group’s continued commitment to developing a pro-fairness business community in Wisconsin,” added Rae. “They are helping lead the way in our state.”
