MILWAUKEE — This week, the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce welcomes Baird, headquartered in Milwaukee, as the organization’s newest gold founding member. Baird was a regular corporate member of the LGBT Chamber since 2015.
“We are honored that Baird has decided to increase its membership with the LGBT Chamber and become our newest gold founding member,” said Jason Rae, President & CEO of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “Since 2015, it has been great to partner with Baird through the LGBT Workplace Alliance and at our LGBT+ Career Fair.”
“We are excited to increase our involvement with the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and look forward to building a solid, strong partnership together,” said Steve Booth, Baird President & CEO. “Baird values growing a diverse business community and workforce. We are dedicated to attracting and retaining talented associates and providing an inclusive workplace where every associate can be their very best.”
Baird embraces and supports its LGBT+ associates, clients and communities. The firm is committed to creating a workplace where all feel welcomed and encouraged to be their authentic selves every day. Spectrum, Baird’s LGBT+ Associate Resource Group, celebrated its 5th anniversary last year and provides Baird’s LGBT+ associates and their allies a network of peer and mentor support as well as resources for professional development and networking opportunities. Spectrum members also explore and advise on opportunities to attract and retain top LGBT+ talent to Baird.
As a gold founding member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber, Baird receives a seat on the Chamber’s Leadership Advisory Council as well as other benefits over the regular corporate level. Baird will also be serving as the premier sponsor for the 2018 LGBT+ Career Fair to be held later this fall.
“We are thankful for Baird’s continued commitment to developing a pro-fairness business community in Wisconsin,” added Rae.
